There are Hardees in the midwest (around here (Northeast Ohio) I can think of two), but my general experience with them can only be described as disappointing. I, too, wonder if you had an atypically bad experience with Arby’s, as I prefer them to almost anything else out there, fastfood- and fish-wise.
