You got that right! T.V. dinners have gone downhill since the aluminum foil trays were replaced with microwaveable plastic trays. The portions are smaller. (Before the cartons got smaller, the package stated it contained 2 serving portions..are they nuts?) The meat(?) tasteless. And for some reason carrots are the main vegetable – seasoned with bits of other vegetables at times (I separated the carrots from a can of Hormel beef stew once and found the volume to be >50%!) The only frozen dinners I find to be appetizing is Marie Collander – even the mashed potatoes taste like mashed potatoes and not wallpaper paste! – although without a side salad and bread I have to eat 2 dinners. And in answer to Phil..Banquet packages tasteless cardboard meals. All they care about is profit, and they know that if they keep the price low enough people will buy them, regardless of the taste. I would rather spend an extra 50 cents on a Marie Collander dinner where the company has a certain amount of pride in what they sell.
