Comment on Frijol con Puerco (Pork and Black Bean Stew) by Irais Perez.
Loved the recipe, however, it was missing the most important item( besides the frijol & puerco of course)… EPAZOTE! a Yucatecan herb that gives this dish its distinctive flavor.
You can find it in any hispanic grocery stores, maybe in some asian markets too.
Just swap the cilantro (the one used to cook the meat & beans) for epazote but for serving you can still use cilantro.
Definitely making this tomorrow, one of my all time favorite Yucatecan meals!
