Comment on Maine-Style “Italian” Sandwich by Evey Hoffman.

I disagree w/your version of the sandwich recipe. As a native of Portland ,Me., I have been eating Italian sandwiches since childhood(in the 50’s). Their is no substitution of the Italian sandwich. I ate many Italian sandwiches on my visits(most recent in 10/9/12)back to Portland. The Italian sandwich taste as authentic today as they did when I was a child, only change is cost(.50 cents then). If I could I would move back to Portland without hesitation just to eat those most delicious Italian sandwiches. Please feel free to send me the authentic bread rolls anytime, so I can at least enjoy a nearly close expierence of the sandwich. Thank you Mrs. Evey Modes Hoffman
